Lip Blush Tattoo
What is Lip Blush Tattoo?
Lip blush is a semi-permanent tattoo that enhances the natural color, shape, and fullness of your lips. Using soft shading techniques, pigment is implanted to give your lips a natural tint — like a subtle, long-lasting lip stain.
It helps correct uneven tones, define the lip border, and create the appearance of fuller, more youthful lips.
Who is it best for?
Clients who want a natural, flushed lip color
Those with pale, uneven, or cool-toned lips
Anyone looking to enhance lip shape or correct asymmetry
People wanting a low-maintenance, everyday tint without makeup
It’s a great option if you prefer a soft, natural look over bold lipstick.

The expected longevity is a few years as the pigment tends to stick really well on lips. It is better to start out natural and go darker at touch-up.

To ensure the best retention, it is recommended to exfoliate the lips a week prior to procedure by using a small toothbrush or washcloth. After exfoliating, apply vaseline or aquaphor daily. The softer the lips, the easier it is to implant the pigment. If you have an ideal color in mind, bring or send few reference photos.
Precare:
Avoid any blood thinning medication day of treatment. This includes Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, and Ibuprofen. Do not consume ANY alcohol/caffeine for at least 24 hours prior your appointment. Avoid smoking if possible as it will delay healing.

Not every client heals well which is why touch-up is needed. It is considered a perfection session to go over any light spots that didn't take. Reasons could be due to excessive sun exposure, existing scarring, bleeding during the session etc. It is also a reason to go darker especially if you're worried about going too dark the first time.
If you feel your lips healed amazing after the initial session and you love the way it looks then a touchup is not required.

Touchup appointment can be scheduled anytime after 8 weeks. For lips, it takes up to 6-8 weeks for the full results to show. Touch-up session is considered a perfection session to go over any spots that did not pick up the pigment well or if you would like to go darker. If you are happy with the results, a touchup is not required.

Lip Blush Healing Timeline
Day 1: Lips will appear bold, bright, and slightly swollen — this is normal. The color will soften significantly as they heal.
Days 2–3: Swelling subsides. The lips may feel dry or tight. The color begins to darken slightly before flaking starts.
Days 3–5: Light peeling and flaking occur. Lips may look patchy or uneven — resist the urge to pick.
Days 5–7: Most flaking is complete. The color may appear very light or faded — this is part of the natural healing process.
Weeks 2–4: The color will gradually resurface and settle into its soft, natural shade.
Full healing is complete at 4–6 weeks, when the final color and shape are revealed.
Important:
Avoid picking, scrubbing, or excessive moisture during the peeling phase.
Follow aftercare instructions carefully to ensure even healing and color retention.

Lip Blush Aftercare Instructions
Keep lips clean and dry: Avoid excessive moisture for the first few days. Gently pat lips dry if needed.
Avoid picking or peeling: Let any flaking or peeling happen naturally to prevent scarring and uneven pigment loss.
Apply ointment: Use a thin layer of the recommended healing balm (like Aquaphor or a lip-specific ointment) 2-3 times daily to keep lips hydrated.
Avoid makeup: Do not apply any lipstick, lip balm (other than the ointment), or other lip products until fully healed.
Avoid sun exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight and tanning beds. Use a lip balm with SPF once healed.
No heavy exercise or sweating: Avoid activities that cause excessive sweating for at least 5 days.
Avoid swimming, saunas, and steam rooms: Keep lips away from chlorinated or hot water until fully healed.
No exfoliating or harsh products: Do not use scrubs, acids, or any exfoliants on your lips during healing.
Avoid alcohol and smoking: These can slow healing and affect pigment retention.
Healing typically takes about 7–14 days.
